I’m Elizabeth, an artisan soap maker based right here in beautiful Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I’ve always been drawn to luxurious, effective skincare that feels as good as it performs—and natural ingredients have been my passion for as long as I can remember.
My personal interest are all about animals! I actually prefer to animals to people, who can relate!? My husband and I have been rescuing dogs for almost 20 years…we started our journey with 5 retired racing greyhounds, then a pittie, and now a Catahoula Leopard and a Norwegian Elkhound/Plott Hound. Currently, they are the love of my life!
After years of trying to use and find “natural” skincare, I knew these products weren’t truly clean. That realization, combined with my background in the medical field (over 21 years of seeing firsthand how lifestyle and exposures impact health), inspired me to take matters into my own hands. I earned my Bachelor’s in Science degree, which gave me the foundation to research, formulate, and create safe, effective products with precision and care.
Why I chose the natural life…
I believe what we put on our skin matters—because it absorbs directly into our bodies and bloodstream. I’ve seen too many avoidable health struggles, and I’m convinced that choosing truly pure, nourishing ingredients can make a real difference at any age. I began to detoxify my life in all ways, starting with nutrition and moving onto skincare. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey that has helped me live my healthiest life yet!
How I became a company…
What started as homemade batches for family and friends quickly turned into requests for more… and more. Encouraged by them, I launched Soap Avenue Co.—a small business born from a deep desire to share genuinely natural, feel-good and of course, luxuriously beautiful products.
I also learned my family has a rich soap-making heritage: my great-great-grandparents were soap makers back in the early 1900s. It turns out this craft was in my blood all along!
Today, I’m honored to handcraft every product you see, using the purest ingredients I can source—many local to Lancaster County. My goal is simple: to help you transform and care for your skin the way nature intended—gently, effectively, and with joy.
